This workshop aims to help detect areas of risk on installed systems as well as to identify opportunities for improvement. 

Agenda:

  • Identify business goals and determine what type of data is collected, processed, and analysed.
  • Collect and review relevant documentation such as data dictionaries, data lineage, and data flow diagrams.
  • Conduct interviews with stakeholders to understand their data requirements, processes for collecting and maintaining data, and their perceptions of data quality.
  • Examining data using statistical analysis to identify patterns, outliers, missing values, and inconsistencies.
  • Evaluating data against predefined quality dimensions such as completeness, accuracy, consistency, timeliness, and validity.
  • Identifying gaps in data governance, data management, data reporting, data security or data architecture practices that contribute to poor data practices.
  • Reporting findings and recommendations to stakeholders, which may include remediation plans, process improvement suggestions, or technology upgrades.

  • A short report, highlighting current state, current data issues and a suggested approach to move forward.
